Salt Spring Retreat - Public

Sep 3-5, 2022

What to Expect

⭐️ Overview

We (Yashar & Christine) are bringing a handful of friends together to learn from each other, get inspired, build friendships, and have fun. We plan on hosting one retreat per year on our property.

We’ve invited some of the most interesting people we know. We will be a small intimate group and most of us will be meeting in person for the first time.

Every couple will host a session for the group. You can do it together, or use the hour to host two sessions individually. The sessions are free form and can be on any topic you’re passionate about.

🏨 Location

You’ll be staying at our house on Salt Spring Island. Each couple will have their own room in either the main house or cottage. We’ll be hosting the workshops onsite and will drive or walk to nearby activities. If you’re bringing your kiddo, we’ll have childcare and the cottage will double as daycare.

✈️ Transportation

You’ll need to book round trip transportation to and from the island. Given it’s the long weekend, we highly recommend taking a sea plane and avoiding the ferry. Please book ASAP.

  • See Action Items below for details on how to book.

🧳 What to Bring

Besides the basics you usually pack, here are a few items that will help you get the most out of the weekend:

Packing List
  • Hiking shoes (or comfortable shoes for the trail)
  • Swimwear
  • Sandals
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Cash. While many farm stands accept eTransfer or card, it’s a good idea to have cash.
What not to bring

You can book with Salt Spring’s Silver Shadow Taxi. Call and book ahead (+1 250 537 3030) with your arrival date and time. There is no Uber or Lyft on the island. While you’re on the island, we will have cars to get around.
Driving
You’re welcome to bring your car, we have plenty of parking. We’re at _________, but don’t rely on Google Maps to get you all the way here. See the toggles below:

🐙 What’s Included, What’s Not

Everything is at cost. Most meals will be catered. When we dine out, we’ll settle the bill to make it easier. We’ll run the numbers at the end of the retreat and send everyone what’s owed. If you’re bringing a kiddo, the cost of childcare will be included in the total.

  • Taxis and transportation are not covered.
  • Drinks are included, but if you have something you love feel free to bring your own, though fridge space will be very limited.
